SRE - Montreal Chapter is planning a RAMS event for Montreal (October 2nd).
Purpose: To strengthen the RAMS community in Montreal by connecting Concordia, industry, professional societies, students, young engineers, and international experts. To position Concordia as a recognized academic hub for RAMS, strengthening the association between the university and reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety + asset management & AI.
Publicly relaunch and revitalize the SRE (society of reliability engineers) Montreal Chapter, with future technical, educational, and professional activities offering real value to members.
Host international guests from the RAMS Symposium leadership community:
Vasiliy Krivtsov, Director of Reliability Analytics at Ford
Julio Pulido, President of the Society of Reliability Engineers and senior RAMS leader
Melvin R. Downes, retired former Chief of Staff and General Chair of RAMS 2023

A Student RAMS Challenge
Two or three student teams will solve a reliability problem over four to five hours under controlled conditions.
Controlled professional AI tools may be used.
The teams will present their solutions to the audience, which will select the winner.
The prize could be financial or, preferably, a paid internship offered by a participating company.
Organization and possible contributions
The RAMS event has some level of catering including coffee breaks at approximately 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., plus lunch boxes.
A private industry dinner with the international guests and selected industry leaders.
